Year 1 Achievements | ITC – Innovation Technology Cluster

As we celebrate the first year of the Nostradamus project, we are proud to highlight the achievements of our consortium partner, ITC – Innovation Technology Cluster, who played a central role in laying the groundwork for innovation and stakeholder engagement.

Key Achievements in Y1:

  • Defining Data Requirements: ITC led Task 2.1, drafting Deliverable 2.1, which defines the data requirements for pilot modules and demonstration sites. This work ensures interoperability across datacubes and provides a strong foundation for other work packages.

  • Upgrading the Fieldbook Application: In collaboration with their advisory service KGZMS, ITC began upgrading the Fieldbook application for fertilization plans. With the integration of Earth observation data, this upgrade will allow farmers to design smarter, site-specific fertilization strategies that enhance efficiency and sustainability.

  • Strategic Plan for the Multi-Actor Approach: ITC developed the plan that guides stakeholder engagement throughout the project. Already in action, this approach was showcased at AGRA 2025, one of Slovenia’s biggest agricultural fairs, where ITC engaged directly with farmers, ensuring their voices and needs are central to shaping the project.

  • By defining data requirements, they ensure interoperability and coherence across Nostradamus modules.

  • By upgrading the Fieldbook application, they provide farmers with actionable, EO-based tools for sustainable decision-making.

  • By leading on the Multi-Actor Approach, they ensure that innovation remains farmer-centered, co-created with those who will benefit most.

Together, these milestones bring us closer to the Nostardamus vision: a future where agriculture is smarter, more sustainable, and resilient through data-driven innovation.
