NOSTRADAMUS Presented at the “Agroscience and Practice 2026” International Conference

The NOSTRADAMUS project was recently showcased at the Fifth International Scientific and Professional Conference “Agroscience and Practice 2026” (ANP 2026), held at the Faculty of Agriculture at the Goce Delcev University.

Representing the project, Ag Futura Technologies actively promoted the NOSTRADAMUS vision of a more connected, data-driven, and sustainable agricultural future, engaging with researchers, policymakers, industry representatives, and agricultural stakeholders from across Europe.

Promoting Data-Driven Agriculture

During the event, the AgFutura team presented how NOSTRADAMUS leverages advanced digital technologies – including data integration frameworks, predictive analytics, interoperable platforms, Earth Observation, and smart decision-support tools – to support more efficient and resilient agricultural systems.

The discussions highlighted how digital innovation can help farmers and decision-makers respond to some of the sector’s biggest challenges, including:

  • Climate change and environmental pressures
  • Sustainable resource management
  • Food security and agricultural resilience
  • Data-driven policy creation and evaluation

AgFutura representatives also distributed project promotional materials and held in-depth conversations with attendees, exploring how NOSTRADAMUS solutions could be applied in real-world farming contexts.

A Key International Platform for Agricultural Innovation

ANP 2026 brought together numerous domestic and international experts, researchers, institutions, and private sector representatives, reinforcing the importance of collaboration between science and practice in agriculture.

In her opening remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Emilija Arsov, emphasized the conference’s growing international character, with participants attending from several European countries.

The event also featured:

  • Plenary lectures and panel discussions on food security, climate change, and the future of agriculture
  • Scientific sessions covering agroeconomics, crop production, ecology, food safety, animal husbandry, and oenology
  • Participation of more than 30 companies and organizations from the production sector, showcasing practical innovations and solutions

Cvetan Tripunovski highlighted the importance of such events for supporting evidence-based agricultural policies and strengthening cooperation between institutions, academia, and industry.

Strengthening the Bridge Between Research and Practice

Participation in ANP 2026 provided an excellent opportunity for NOSTRADAMUS to connect with the wider agricultural innovation ecosystem and demonstrate how digital tools can bridge the gap between scientific research and practical implementation.

By fostering dialogue with farmers, researchers, policymakers, and industry representatives, NOSTRADAMUS continues to contribute to the transformation of European agriculture toward a future that is smarter, more sustainable, and more resilient.
