Year 1 Achievements: DLG e.V. – German Agricultural Society

In the first year of the NOSTRADAMUS project, DLG e.V. has made significant contributions across networking, piloting, and international collaboration — all aimed at accelerating innovation in agriculture.

WP1 – Multi-actor Networking
As one of the leading associations in Germany’s agricultural and food sector, DLG harnessed its strong network to drive knowledge exchange and innovation actions. This multi-actor approach is central to ensuring that the project’s outcomes are relevant, practical, and widely adopted.

Task 3.2 – Pilot Sites & IoT Data Integration
DLG’s International Crop Production Center (IPZ), an innovative arable farm in the Magdeburger Börde region, is serving as a key pilot site. The IPZ addresses challenges in modern crop production, digitalisation, machinery, and education — providing valuable sensor and field data to strengthen project activities.

Task 6.3 – Cross-border Collaboration
DLG initiated cooperation with the University of St. Gallen, supporting co-design and training activities. This collaboration promotes knowledge exchange and builds capacity across borders, ensuring broader impact for the project.

Empowering Young Talents
DLG also welcomed Wen-Lin, a young professional exploring agricultural data. His integration reflects DLG’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of agricultural experts and ensuring long-term innovation capacity.

With its strong network, pilot activities, and international collaboration, DLG is helping NOSTRADAMUS deliver farmer-focused solutions that enhance knowledge, sustainability, and digital innovation in agriculture.
